Turn an image into editable text
Optical character recognition (OCR) lets you pull the text that appears in an image and turn it into text you can edit, copy or search. It works with screenshots, photos of documents or notes, signs, receipts or any image with letters.
What's special here is that the recognition happens entirely in your browser: the image is not uploaded to any server. The first time, the recognition engine is downloaded (a few seconds) and then it stays cached. For best results, use sharp images with straight text and good contrast.
