What the hours calculator is for

It tells you how much time passes between two times: the hours worked in a shift (subtracting the lunch break), the length of an event, or how long there is between two moments of the day. You can also add or subtract a duration to a specific time, for example to know when you'll finish if you start at 12:00 and need 2 hours and a half.

It works in 24-hour format and handles shifts that cross midnight. All the calculation happens on your device.

How do I calculate hours worked?
Use the 'Difference between times' tab, enter the start and end time and, if you want, subtract the break minutes. You'll see the resulting hours and minutes.
Does it work if the end time is the next day?
Yes. If the end time is earlier than the start (for example a night shift), it's understood to cross midnight and is calculated correctly.
Can I add or subtract hours to a time?
Yes, in the 'Add / subtract' tab you enter a time and a duration in hours and minutes, and choose to add or subtract.
Is anything stored?
No, all the calculation is local in your browser.
